This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to grow sales and increase market presence with customers. The position is also responsible for managing the company’s chassis product offerings and maintaining customer and strategic supplier relationships for same.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage aftermarket product line(s) throughout the sales process in a multi-brand and channel environment.Cultivate customer relationships through new product lines and continuous improvement of existing products.Maintains relationships with existing customers through face-to-face interaction.Develop and implement strategic sales plans to proactively identify, develop, and sell new opportunities.Designs and recommends sales and marketing programs to grow existing sales and sets short and long-term strategies for targeted prospects.Creates customer presentations and provides sales and technical support.Manages product lifecycle, market research, identifying coverage, sourcing, product data management, pricing, perform competitive analysis, and makes stocking recommendations.  Coordinate product management with cataloging, operations, logistics, and engineering to support customer demands and capitalize on any First to Market opportunities.Analyze sale metrics as it pertains to marketing efforts and develop clear action plans to improve sales opportunities.Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.Prepares and submits sales budgets and reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed opportunity, including prospects, for the region.Handles simple sales and supplier negotiations.Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Knowledge of products, pricing practices, selling skills, and negotiation skills.Proven track record of success in sales over a sustained period in an automotive OES and aftermarket product environment is required.Experience with practices and techniques related to web merchandising or online retail.Sound knowledge of website management and E-commerce usabilityExcellent time management, communication skills, decision making, human relations, presentation, and organization skills.Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office ApplicationsStrong ability to network within the industry.Strong planning skills to determine and meet sales objectives.

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing, or equivalent training in business or sales management.Requires 7-10 years of experience in automotive chassis product management and sales environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (any specific physical attributes or limiting factors to be accounted for):           

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office/shop setting and to use standard office/shop equipment, including a computer, projector/screen, and to attend meetings at various sites within and away from the city; strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
