Job Description

The Product Development Manager is responsible for the product line management of their specific business line offerings within the Facility Services Division. This includes the development and launch of new products and service offerings within the assigned Product Line. The Manager works closely with outside vendors to develop offerings that will further our growth and differentiation. The Manager will work closely with our Sales and Operations group to define, develop and launch new offerings. The Manager will have frequent interactions with Upper Management in this high-visibility role.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and evaluate new differentiated product and service offerings to provide meaningful and
unique offerings that align with the Strategic Plan. Identify and coordinate product discontinuations to
maintain a refreshed offering.
• Drive margin growth through product line management to maximize the value of the product offering.
• Drive program consistency and compliance through our Operations teams through ongoing
communications, i.e. face-to-face meetings, emails, phone calls. Promote plans internally, and gain
organization agreement and commitment.
• Develop sustainable pricing, selling and service models that integrate products and services into
current operations.
• Lead Field Tests and Larger Test Markets to identify successful products for launch. Analyze data to
support decisions for the advancement of projects in early phases of development as well as
recommendations for advancement in later phases of development. Interact with customers for
technical support, interviews and insight mining.
• Work with Marketing and Sales Training to develop launch plans including training, collateral and
internal and external awareness campaigns.
• Provide oversight to product specification development.
• Work with vendors to leverage as technical resources and support for active projects.
• Provide overall leadership for Product Line offerings.

Skills/Qualifications

Required:

Experience Training field sales on new products and tools. Experience interacting as a technical expert with customers. Experience in Vendor Relationships. Attendance is an essential function of the job. Occasional travel required (25 - 50% of the time) Valid Driver’s License
