Product Development Manager

As a Product Development Manager, you are responsible for managing and coordinating regional trade development, supporting sales growth within the branch network and branch sales teams. Your focus will be on developing both new and existing business. You will collaborate with various areas of the region to raise awareness and concentrate on specific trade lanes. Leading day-to-day sales activities, you will identify opportunities, drive focus, and report on progress and challenges. In addition, you will work closely with local sales teams, the Global network, and potential clients to uncover and assess business requirements and critical buying criteria.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Collaborate with regional procurement team leads to setup long & short term sell ratesActively participates in product enhancements/developments and pricing discussionsWorks with local and regional management to develop sales strategies, target lists, and volume growth for Air & OceanShares customer specific data, requirements, and expectations with internal resources to collaboratively create viable supply chain solutionsUses effective negotiation and sales strategies in discussing pricing and selling solutionsMakes recommendations of strategic nature to ensure sustained growth of C.H. Robinson market share on identified traffic lanesCommunicates and ensures execution of strategies by working with local and regional sales resources and overseas counterpartsVisits key regional offices to promote the trade lane and join sales calls with local sales resourcesProvides market specific training/awareness to all local sales resources and regional staffOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

High School DiplomaMinimum 5 years of Global Forwarding Sales experience

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityExcellent English written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsKnowledge of the logistics industry, solution design, and supply chainProven ability to create and coordinate comprehensive Trade lane programsDemonstrated sales, interpersonal, and analytical skillsStrong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills and business acumenValues a diverse and inclusive work environment
