JOB PURPOSE 

The Product Development Coordinator will be responsible for leading Product Innovation and Renovation in the Cooking Aids vertical, acting as TPL and in the development of formulations, reporting to the Cooking Aids Product Manager. This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to work on different workflows in Latin America, as well as lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects with a forward-thinking mindset for the category. 

  

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE 

 

Lead Innovation and Renovation Projects in LATAM, delivering R&D OTIF activities and supporting areas to achieve goals. 

Maintain close contact with the GDC for new technologies and ideas for Innovations and cost improvements. 

Conduct technical evaluations of products/ingredients when necessary for development and business support. 

Demonstrate strong leadership in cross-functional forums with Marketing, Planning, and Supply Chain, as well as external interfaces (e.g., suppliers). 

Lead discussions and solutions with the global team (Material Expert Teams) to propose the best ingredients for the respective portfolio in the plan. 

Ensure projects are developed with a simplification and NET ZERO mindset. 

Lead problem-solving (new workflows) when necessary, establish a plan with key interfaces, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions. 

Have a deep understanding of data analysis and Nutritional/Food Guidelines. 

Support cost reduction projects (5S projects) in Cooking Aids Technologies. 

Ensure compliance with Unilever's Code of Business Principles and all SHE and QA policies, including support for product claims, risk management, and local awareness and legislation. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED 

 

Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Food Chemistry, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related areas. 

General/leadership profile, but with technical experience and open to learn new category technologies (focused on Cooking Aids). 

Pioneering and curious mindset, applied to technical solutions, with a hands-on attitude. 

Connected to the food market, industry, and market trends. 

Experience as a Formulator/TPL – Technical Project Leader. 

Open to doing things differently. 

Digital skills are crucial, including digital Nutrition tools, SAP PLM, Excel, Power BI, Dashboards, etc. 

Ability to work in cross-functional teams and different categories, driving agendas. 

Effective communication (storytelling) and presentation skills. 

Ease of working with a line manager in another country (independent work profile). 

Experience working with global (English language is required) and regional teams.
