Your Role:

As a Product Engineer for our liquid chemical delivery equipment, you are an integral part of the success of our Delivery Systems and Services business. The business demands that you prioritize safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency. You will drive the execution of new semiconductor equipment offerings that are distributed globally by interacting with quality, operations, engineering, sales, site services, and sourcing teams internally. You will be instrumental in translating customer needs into a valued offering Versum Materials can provide. You will create the engineering solutions to the problems facing the advancement of the electronics industry. You are an enthusiastic learner, who wants to solve complex problems in a thriving organization.  Your primary focus will be our liquid precursor CHEMGUARD® product line.

Principal Accountabilities:

Assessment of requirements and lead execution of custom designsDrive improvements in cost and functionality for existing product linesCollaborate closely with manufacturing and field services to identify product line improvements and troubleshoot technical issuesIdentify alternate components to address obsolescenceLine sizing, pressure drop and thermodynamic calculationsDevelop clear scope for electrical, software, and firmware engineering teamsStrategic selection of components and vendors to ensure profitable productsSupport quality investigationsUse of management of change processManage product line documentation including standards, specifications, and manualsSupport sales in technical conversation around custom design with customersTravel 5%

Location: Onsite 3 days per week at our Breinigsville, PA location

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 2+ years of experience in a technical role or in technical role within manufacturing  

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant work experience with a proven track record Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree preferredCritical attention to detail and investigation skills Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with Solidworks, HAZOP, FMEA, SAP, Aspen PlusExperience collaborating with diverse, global teams to meet business and customer needsAbility to drive change successfullyLogical and creative thinkerStrong written and verbal communication skillsSemiconductor/microelectronics experience, ideally with liquid chemical delivery systemsProficient in lab experiment design and execution Customer-facing experienceBasic understanding of safety certifications Comfortability with speaking on technical topics in a large groupProven success in applying problem solving and analytical skills Ability to understand technical details (mechanical design, controls) of products to troubleshoot and drive improvementsLeadership skills to influence the organizational focus on product developmentEnvisioning solutions to meet the industry needs of tomorrow
