Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.

 

Job Summary:

This Product Design Engineer is a member of the Airside Engineering team and will work to develop design and solutions of Air-Handlers to support complex customer and business needs.  In this role you will solve customer needs through fan selection, mechanical design, testing and manufacturing integration.

Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):

Fan selection and design from concept through validation including design analysis and performance calculations, detail drawings and bills of materials.Facilitate design reviews, execute testing validation plans, and use virtual tools to predict fan performance for commercial air handlers.Collaborate with cross functional teams including product management, operations and other engineering teams to determine optimal fan solutions.Create and maintain technical engineering documentation for customers and future engineering projects.Some overnight travel required, approximately 5%.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent discipline) is required.

Key Competencies: 

Mechanical design and engineering skills, with practical hands-on hardware experience.Ability to select proper modeling and simulation tools, understand outputs, and integrate information to make design decisions.Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate up, down, and across the organization.Knowledge of Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) fundamentals.Excellent analytical, mathematical, project management and problem-solving skills.

 

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000

 

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
