Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist in the design and development of both legacy and new products. This role offers a balanced mix of design work and cross-functional collaboration on the manufacturing floor, providing a well-rounded experience. Responsibilities + Utilize Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks for the design and development of legacy and new products. + Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to assess project feasibility. + Create project proposals using Microsoft Suite. + Collaborate with cross-functional groups and engage with floor members for seamless project execution. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in design and analysis. + Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks design software. + Experience with FEA and GD&T. + Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. + Experience in fenestration, including windows, doors, and cabinetry, particularly in design and analysis of wood. + Experience with door and window casements is highly desirable. Work Environment The role is primarily office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor as needed.
