Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist in the design and development of both legacy and new product development. This role will be 50% design-focused and 50% involved with cross-functional groups, interacting with floor members to ensure seamless project execution.
ResponsibilitiesUtilize Autodesk Inventor and/or Solidworks for legacy and new product development.Conduct FEA and GD&T to run feasibility analyses on projects.Create project proposals using Microsoft suite.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manufacturing floor members.Impact large ERP system change projects by working with Excel to create macros and write formulas.Essential SkillsProficiency in Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks.Experience with FEA and GD&T.Ability to create and manipulate data using Excel, including macros and formulas.Experience with fenestration, windows, doors, cabinetry, or design and analysis of wood.Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field such as mechanical engineering, architecture, or industrial engineering.Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in design and analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with door and window casements and design of doors and windows.Work Environment
The role is primarily office-based but will require visits to the manufacturing floor as needed. The work environment offers a very flexible schedule, strong benefits, and a good work-life balance.
