Product Engineer

Job Title: Product Engineer-Precision Assemblies\n

FLSA Status: Exempt\n

The Product Engineer position will work to support the company's ongoing design, engineering and production activities specific to product management of various standardized assemblies such as cabinets, trusses, and wall framing. Design development, standardization, engineering drawing production, cataloging, and enterprise data generation are key elements to this position. \n
\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities\n
\n\nLead the design and development of Product Assemblies.\nCollaborate with component manufacturing to build and validate prototype activities.\nTransition product to receiving plants and lead first build activity.\nSupport standardization of product libraries.\nSupport plant training efforts with onboarding and integration of standard product libraries \nWorking knowledge of design platforms AutoCAD and\/or Revit.\nSupport production through data generation and tabulation in various file formats specific to manufacturing processes\nProvide quality control for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to specific assembly quality standards.\nOccasional to regular travel may be required to various CHB manufacturing facilities in pursuit of these objectives.\nUnderstand, appreciate, and enjoy manufactured housing and residential construction along with the significance our products bring to the customer. \n\n

Supervisory Responsibilities\n
\n\nMay lead various teams during training and prototyping activities but will not have direct supervisory authority.\n\n

\n\nTechnical Skills - ability to gain working knowledge of building codes referenced in company products.\nComfortable reading prints and interpreting home construction engineering instructions. Education and\/or Experience \n
\n\n5 years production related experience integrated with design, engineering and data development \nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and\/or Revit software\nKnowledge of C# and its applications in developing custom design environments with Autodesk platforms a plus but not required.\nAssociate\/Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Engineering a plus.\nAbility to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.\nAbility to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.\nPossess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.\n\n
