Job Title: Product Engineer
Job Description

We are looking for a Product Engineer to provide engineered shop drawings, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional, as required by customers for product review prior to fabrication. The role involves providing layout drawings as requested, developing product packaging that is cost-effective, minimizes waste, and safely protects all products during transit. You will also be responsible for updating product designs, drawings, and specifications using change control process methodology. Additionally, you will work directly with Manufacturing Engineers to address shop floor issues and manufacturing concerns to ensure continuous product and process improvements.

ResponsibilitiesProvide engineered shop drawings for product review prior to fabrication.Develop product packaging that is cost-effective, minimizes waste, and safely protects all products during transit.Update product designs, drawings, and specifications using change control process methodology.Work directly with Manufacturing Engineers to address shop floor issues and manufacturing concerns.Develop bill of materials, including raw materials requirements, hardware needs, and time requirements.Participate in Sales phone calls and conversations to offer product and technical support.Participate and lead continuous improvement activities within the team and company.Essential SkillsManufacturing engineering experienceProcess implementation and improvement skillsProficiency in CAD design and SolidWorksAbility to troubleshoot and develop new productsLean Six Sigma knowledgeBachelor's degree in a technical fieldAt least 1 year of experience working within a manufacturing environmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with change control process methodologyAbility to develop bill of materialsExperience in providing product and technical supportStrong communication and teamwork skillsWork Environment

You will work closely with manufacturing engineers, estimating, and project management teams, and occasionally directly with end users. The role requires proficiency in CAD design and familiarity with SolidWorks. The work environment is collaborative and focused on continuous improvement and process enhancements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00
