Product Engineering & Quality Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Product Engineering and Quality team throughout the product lifecycle of locally manufactured High-Power Drives. Your primary responsibility will be the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the product structure in SAP, ensuring accurate and efficient data management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate manufacturing ramp-ups, support material localization efforts, implement engineering changes, and drive quality activities.The work model for the role is hybrid. Onsite work will be required most days, specifically early on learning about the role/products.This role is contributing to the Motion System Drives division in New Berlin, WI.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tImplementing and maintaining the product structure in SAP, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and manufacturing processes.•\tPartnering with teams from Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to support the ramp-up of production, localization of materials and projects for cost optimization.•\tFacilitating the execution of engineering changes and updates in both the product structure and SAP systems, in collaboration with the global product team.•\tDriving quality improvements and collaborating in quality problem-solving activities, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years’ experience is required. Experience in an industrial equipment and manufacturing environment will be a plus.Strong experience with SAP, particularly in product structure management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Power BI experience will be a plus.Experience with inverters or similar power conversion equipment, electrical enclosures, or manufacturing of electrical products preferred.Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Must have problem-solving and change management/facilitation skills. Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
