PURPOSE:

The Product Engineer will support and improve the manufacturing process for part specific concerns related to tooling and fixturing. The Product Engineer will focus on the project management elements of tooling design and construction by coordinating with all required technical resources. The Product Engineer will work with other members of the Engineering & Operational team in accordance with all PCC Structurals procedures and customer specifications.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Provide technical support as identified by the operational team related to identifying and resolving tooling related fixturing and dimensional issues. Scope includes supporting the full range of the manufacturing process. 
· Support the product specific needs of the manufacturing process related to fixturing, gaging, inspection, and wax injection. 
· Coordinate sourcing, design reviews, & construction of new and replacement gages, fixtures, and wax injection dies at outside vendors.
· Track, manage, and report timelines for assigned initiatives to both internal team members and customers as needed. 
· Responsible for performance to milestones which will support customer commitments within quoted costs.
· Document, maintain, and organize proper records for assigned projects. 
· May be assigned to special cost reduction initiatives as part of a multi-discipline team.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
· Willingness to operate injection tooling and injection presses for testing and quality inspections.


REPORTING RELATIONS:
· This position reports to the Engineer Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· 2+ years’ experience in Engineering or Operations, 
· Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering.
· Project management experience is highly desired.
· Experience with CAD modeling in SolidWorks (preferred) or Unigraphics/NX.
· Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
