ARC Technologies LLC is the leading manufacturer of RF and EMI absorbing materials for defense and wireless applications worldwide. We are currently seeking a Product Engineer to support our growing team. A successful candidate will have a strong background in polymer processing. This role requires the ability to work with the sales and development teams on new materials for custom applications. The individual should be a self-starter capable of driving projects through completion with minimal supervision.
We are currently seeking a Product Engineer for our Amesbury, MA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Analyze and interpret various plastic/rubber material manufacturing techniques, procedures and processing conditions.Evaluate processing conditions and resultant material properties and troubleshoot as necessary. Assume full responsibility for managing process conditions to meet Process Control Document requirements and mechanical and physical propertiesTroubleshoot manufacturing process problems and implement corrective measures.Evaluate and provide costing support for new and existing products.Create/manage bills of materials and process plans for multiple resin manufacturing processes to support operations.Develop and implement processing conditions. Provide training as necessary to operations personnel.Develop and execute continuous improvement plans and processes.Write and maintain detailed procedures and specifications.Required Qualifications:
BS Engineering degree in any of the following majors: Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Chemistry. 2+ years of industry experience in a manufacturing or product development environmentAbility to evaluate, develop and manage process parameters in the manufacture of products.High attention to detail.Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.Current computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programs. Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.Knowledge of or familiarity with CAD; Solid Works, Solid Edge, Master Cam.An understanding of dielectric and magnetic properties of materials.Benefits
