International Motors' R&D group has an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineer-Diesel that will be responsible for defining and implementing Aftertreatment Devices and associated sensors and actuators, to Traton Product Development Process. This person will also be responsible for leading other engineers, managing relationships with suppliers and heavy documentation.

Responsibilities Managing relationships with SuppliersSupport the definition of system limits on aftertreatment sensors, actuators, and system configurations.Complete reports and presentations to communicate findings, draw conclusions and give recommendations on next steps.Recommend, develop, and execute on continuous process improvement to improve product quality, reliability, and durability of the aftertreatment system.Collaborate with other functional teams such as Procurement, Supplier Quality, Program Management and other Engineering Functions. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies
OR
Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologiesOR
PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 5 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies or specialized technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Strong knowledge of heavy-duty diesel emissions regulatory requirements including diagnosticsDetailed knowledge of current diesel exhaust aftertreatment technology (DOC, DPF, SCR, Urea Evaporation & Urea Delivery Systems)Experience creation and upkeep of DFMEAs and associated requirements.Electrical experience with qualifying chassis mounted ECUs.Experience in developing of DRD, Design Requirement Documents.Management or experience leading other engineers.
