The Product Engineer Intern will provide coordination and alignment to engineering goals. + Responsible for understanding the customer's requirements to design, develop, and validate a solution using engineering methods (such as FEA, DOE, etc) to meet or exceed customer's performance requirements.Support part proliferation activities to ensure a successful new business kickoff (ex: PDC, MDR, ECN). + Generate and/or make changes to CAD drawings for new and existing products.Support customer launch and post launch improvement activities to reinforce the trusted advisor trait. + Able to take a high level of accountability and ownership for personal and company performance. + Able to communicate both verbal and written with clarity and simplicity. + Exemplifies a strategic-thinking approach and process to program management. + Able to make decisions and use critical thinking and analytical approaches when weighing options. + Nurturing an environment consistent with the ITW values and culture. + Is outcome driven and applies the 80/20 principles to prioritize work demands. + Pro-actively participating in ITW’s ‘toolbox’ initiatives (i.e., USa, 80/20 Philosophy, PLS, MRD, and In-Lining). + Other duties may apply.
