Product Engineer Intern - Spring 2025
**Job ID: 110565** The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services. **Job Summary** **Job Responsibilities** • Support the production line with trouble shoot testing for accuracy and efficiency of electrical system, intel PC chipset base • Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of semiconductor processing or semiconductor products/devices. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing processes or products and make modifications and improvements as needed. Compile and evaluate process or product design and test data. Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes. Working knowledge of statistical techniques in process development such as Design of Experiments and SPC. • Support engineering with routine engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks • Work independently on daily tasks • Assist in design, build and/or procurement of new or improved machines, tools, fixtures and material handling equipment and coordinating the implementation • Under direction, responsible for completing process documentation, bill of materials, route sheets, etc • Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions, and to support the design for manufacture • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified electrical and/or mechanical components or assemblies for products • Under direction, set up and conduct tests of units and components • Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjusts equipment to bring within specification; record these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods • Assist in the creation of documentation to maintain equipment • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization • Assist in the development of plant layouts, manufacturing methods and process improvements • May coordinate maintenance projects **Job Responsibilities Part II** **Qualifications** • Currently enrolled in a 4 years engineering degree or Masters Program with emphasis in (EE, CE) with a minimum 3.0 GPA • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, and Microsoft Word) • Must have good interpersonal skills and can build a good network • Must be diligent, hardworking, and a quick study _Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
