Job Description

The Product Engineer Mobilair position requires an individual who understands the fundamentals of fluid dynamics, and who knows their way around rotating equipment. This position requires the engineer to understand the operation for both the compressed air side as well as engine side for all of Kaeser’s portable, air compressor product line. The Mobilair product line includes all of Kaeser’s gasoline / diesel-powered portable, air compressors – ranging from 15 hp to 600 hp.

 

The selected candidate will:

Serve as primary point of contact for all technical sales and service support-related requests from internal teams, external sales groups, and customers.Regularly interact with equipment manufacturers to assist with troubleshooting and evaluation. The engineer will be tasked with fault codes analysis and creating immediate solutions to ensure maximum customer uptime. Document quality issues, and coordinate problem resolution with product manufacturers.Create content and provide training to Kaeser partners or external customers on portable compressor topics -- whether in person via training class, via phone or via other media (such as a webinar), or through technical papers. Visit customer sites and assist local support personnel to diagnose issues with equipment and solve problems.

The successful candidate’s background will include: 

BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar, equivalent experience in similar field.Working knowledge of HMI for industrial products. Working knowledge of engine operation. Ability to read P&I and Wiring Diagrams (preferred).  Customer service experience, commercial or industrial field (preferred).Goal-oriented focus, with motivation to grow long-term within the team.
