The Product Lead will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of digital products and technology solutions that elevate patient care, enhance provider efficiency, and improve operational effectiveness. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of healthcare operations, and proven track record in product management within a healthcare provider setting.
The Product Lead will collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and IT teams to define and implement innovative solutions that improve patient experiences, optimize workflows, and support the PT Solutions’ mission of delivering transformative and exceptional care.
Essential Functions
Product Strategy & Vision:
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership:
Partner with clinical, administrative, and technical teams to identify challenges and opportunities for technology-driven improvements.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between IT, operations, and clinical leadership to define product requirements and priorities.Engage with end-users, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to gather insights and drive adoption.Product Development, Support & Execution:
Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.Oversee change management efforts including stakeholder engagement, training and communication plans to drive product adoption.Oversee the maintenance and upgrades of software applications, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure. Act as primary liaison between IT and business and/or vendors during requirements gathering, needs analysis and bug tracking. This role will work on user acceptance testing Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure the impact and effectiveness of digital solutions.Work closely with software vendors, third-party partners, and internal development teams to design, build, and implement solutions.Ensure seamless integration of digital products with electronic health records (EHRs), revenue cycle management (RCM) systems, scheduling tools, and other enterprise applications.Collaborate with IT teams to implement APIs, HL7, FHIR, and other interoperability standards to support data exchange across clinical and operational platforms.Ensure interoperability, cybersecurity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, ONC, CMS).Monitoring, Performance Documentation & User Support:
Implement monitoring tools and processes to track system performance, uptime, and user engagement.Establish a structured approach to performance documentation, ensuring all product enhancements, incidents, and updates are well-documented.Create user-friendly documentation, training materials, and FAQs to support product adoption and usability.Develop and execute strategies for proactive user support, including helpdesk collaboration and end-user training programs.Ensure that feedback loops are in place for continuous product improvement based on user experiences and system performance.Work closely with IT support teams to ensure timely issue resolution and minimize disruptions to clinical and operational workflows.Establish service level agreements (SLAs) for product performance, uptime, and user support response times.Data and Analytics:
Support enterprise-wide data interoperability efforts by integrating data sources from multiple systems, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and actionable insights.Leverage data to inform product decisions, optimize workflows, and improve patient and provider experiences.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact on clinical and operational outcomes.Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to integrate predictive analytics, AI, and automation into digital solutions.Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with healthcare data regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).Utilize dashboards and reporting tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.Advocate for a data-driven culture, promoting the use of analytics in decision-making across teams.Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Monitor product performance, user feedback, and operational impact to drive continuous enhancements.Leverage data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize workflows.Foster a culture of innovation, identifying opportunities for automation, AI, and advanced digital capabilities.Coaching & Talent Development:
Build and develop a high-performing product team by mentoring, coaching, and fostering professional growth.Provide continuous learning opportunities, encouraging team members to enhance their skills in healthcare technology, product management, and leadership.Create a culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability, empowering team members to take initiative.Identify and develop future leaders within the team, ensuring long-term organizational success.Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices across teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.Other duties and special projects as assigned.Required Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Window-based applications. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Must have demonstrated skill in prioritizing daily responsibilities and crises to handle a heavy workload. Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.Required Credentials
Bachelor’s s degree in healthcare administration, business, computer science, engineering, or a related field required. Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MS) preferred.5+ years of experience in product management, digital health, or healthcare IT, with a proven track record of leading successful product initiatives.Experience in a healthcare provider setting is highly preferredExpanding Access to Quality Care
