Product Line Manager, Environmental, Retail Casualty

This role will be accountable for the performance of the Casualty and Pollution Product Lines. How you will create an impact + Assist in development and implementation of strategies to maximize penetration, volume/growth and profitability of the Environmental Division. + Serves as a technical expert and exercises technical authority with regards to underwriting issues. + Responsible for staying up to date and current with industry/ product trends and adapting coverage as needed. + Working with CUO and actuary, responsible for supporting, setting and implementing rate strategies as well as monitoring rate results within a product or segment. + Working with the CUO, develops and manages product guidelines so that they are current with divisional appetite. + Provide referral and other support to underwriters. + Provides product specific training within and outside the respective Division. + Ensures the required standards of governance, systems and controls, and regulatory compliance are established and maintained. + Work with broker, clients and internal resources to develop innovative new products and capitalize on competitive advantage. What you’ll need to succeed + Preferred minimum of 10+ years of Environmental and Casualty insurance underwriting experience. + Proven knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and distribution. + Strategic orientation, managing vision and purpose, developing organizational capability. + Strong influencing and communications skills and demonstrated ability to work across multiple areas of company and industries. + Change and team leadership, as well as external thought leadership. + Strategic orientation, managing vision and purpose, developing organizational capability. + Proven collaborative leadership skills.
