Product Line Quality Engineer

The Stellantis Customer Experience organization is currently seeking a self-motivated, highly skilled, solutions-oriented Quality Engineer located at Auburn Hills Mi, United States. This position offers the candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape and focus on the Customer Experience.  The Quality Engineer is responsible for identification of quality issues, the investigation of the issue, root cause of the issue and compile the data to drive the implementation of corrective actions at vehicle assembly plants, product design and supplier operations.   The Engineer will exhibit excellent communication skills and coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure resolution of issues that impact the customer experience. The position requires the candidate to be Michigan based and could require travel to local Stellantis dealership facilities, assembly plants, and suppliers.

 

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Investigate and objectively document quality issues with a focus on CX Fleet and Retail vehicles Provide technical solutions and onsite support in response to internal requests for assistance Support activities to investigate and mitigate top corporate issues- 3MIS/kPPM, JDP, social media Objectively report findings through STELLANTIS systems and provide root cause analysis, technical data, and other information to support problem resolution with actionable data Candidate must have hands-on work and technical automotive experience including but not limited to: vehicle specific systems and tear down, diagnostics and complete automotive systems Candidate must also be familiar with and comfortable in a dealership/engineering environment

Basic Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, or a related Automotive Technical degree preferred. (Business Technical dual Degree with Automotive or Engineering) Green Belt/Black Belt certification 5 + years in a technical field preferably automotive service or automotive quality Hands on automotive experience Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of departments and people at all levels of STELLANTIS Ability to collect and model data into actionable information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization Ability to manage multiple missions to resolution Proficient in Microsoft Applications including Excel/Slides/PowerPoint/Docs/Word and Teams Preferred proficiency in diagnostic tools but not limited to – Engineering Diagnostic Applications, Noise Vibration and Harshness analysis, oscilloscope, Vector Analysis, CDA and dealer facing diagnostic tools (wiTECH) EOE / Disability / Veteran
