Job Summary:
The Product Management Director of Cloud, Data & Perimeter Security will lead the product strategy, delivery execution, and lifecycle management for cloud, data & perimeter security across the organization.
This role will be part of the Strategic Delivery Office within Cigna Information Protection (CIP) that has responsibility for managing the Cyber Portfolio and the Delivery & Product Management functions enabling execution of the cyber portfolio, strategic projects and baseline initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced product management & delivery leader to join our fast-evolving organization to lead strategic cyber initiatives. This newly created role will be responsible for strategizing, shaping & evolving the product management practice for the Strategic Delivery Office and will lead a team driving delivery execution of multiple value streams including Cloud Security, Perimeter Security & Data Security. In this role you will be responsible for managing complex, high-impact initiatives that drive important cyber outcomes in a cloud-forward agile environment. Responsibilities include building & maintaining value stream roadmaps, defining epics/features, planning & delivery execution, & providing executive visibility on progress & risks.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of product management practices, approaches and experience in addition to delivery execution experience and knowledge/application of agile project/program management practices. Familiarity with cloud and data security is a plus along with knowledge of healthcare & security industry trends.
Responsibilities:
Product Management Strategic Leadership: Establish the product management practice for the Cyber Strategic Delivery Office by defining the vision, goals, roadmaps and best practices. Create communities of practice, coach/mentor product managers, define roles/responsibilities for the function and evangelize the practice with our stakeholders and teams.
Delivery Execution: Drive value stream delivery execution for Cloud Security, Data Security & Perimeter Security and others as needed. Responsible for driving the strategy, managing budgets, instituting appropriate governance, building roadmaps, decomposing work, infrastructure setup, planning, design and implementation approaches of these initiatives partnering with multiple stakeholders across the Technology & Operations organization at Cigna.
Team Leadership: Lead and sustain a high performing delivery and product management team capable of delivering exceptional outcomes to our CIP partners & stakeholders across the enterprise. Leader will set a high bar for excellence, coach current associates to their full potential and recruit / develop high potential talent into new open roles. Leader will create a collaborative culture that has a high degree of ownership for their work product while providing exceptional support for their partner/customer organization.
Strategy: Contributes to establishing strategic goals across the SDO function and to ensure we are aligned with key stakeholders. Makes decisions, often based on limited information, that have a long-term impact on the success of critical initiatives. Ability to make the complex simple and to be able to drive and champion change.
Communications: Leverage critical communication skills, partnering with key leadership stakeholders across the organization who partner on cybersecurity initiatives to create compelling stories that influence exceptional cyber outcomes. Effectively summarize and succinctly communicate progress/risks to executive leadership. Navigate ambiguous and political situations effectively.
Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success; utilizing data-driven insights to guide product decisions and optimize performance.
Teamwork & Partnership: Build effective partnerships and relationships with our key stakeholders across technology & operations to enable positive outcomes by instilling trust, showing courage and driving accountability. Leverage network & relationships to drive outcomes and operate with an enterprise mindset.
Security & Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud & data security technologies, product management and healthcare industry trends, providing recommendations to continuously improve how we do things.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience in program/product management or application delivery preferably in the healthcare industry
Expert level proficiency with product management practices, building roadmaps, defining, decomposing and prioritizing scope for large cross functional teams
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and project management frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
Experience managing large, complex IT programs and initiatives
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that align with business objectives
Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
Experience with cloud, data & perimeter security tools, processes and technologies
Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Boundless intellectual curiosity to continually learn and explore how to do things better, faster and cheaper
A “roll-up your sleeves and get the job done” mentality
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Relevant certifications such as PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist
Experience with healthcare industry standards and regulations such as HL7, FHIR, and CMS

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
