Product Management Sr Manager

The Team and Organization

In this role you will be part of the Digital Identity Product and Strategy Team, which sits within PNC's Enterprise Technology & Security organization and is part of the PNC Enterprise Identity function.

The Digital Identity Team is focused on creating enterprise Authentication and Identity Management capabilities that provide best in class authentication journeys for customers of PNC and the PNC workforce. The team is responsible for providing innovative products and capabilities in the areas of strong authentication, identity proofing, identity risk and decision management, single sign on, and federation to name a few. The team interacts and partners with line of business stakeholders, security partners and other functions to plan and coordinate capabilities and roadmaps.

The Role

This person will lead the operational product functions and drive the strategy, process, and workflow for the operational product functions. The product functions led by this role include onboarding new applications to the platform, SSO integration, configuration changes, automation and self-service enablement, and platform health and hygiene. You will be the product lead with support from a team of product owners to prioritize and facilitate work in these functional areas. As a Digital Identity Product Operation Lead, you will partner with business line, security experts and technical counterparts to establish and improve crew and product squad processes for the assigned functional areas. Your goal will be to help improve the product to make it easier for our stakeholder to leverage and to establish prioritization methods to manage the high demand of workload.

Responsibilities Include:

Provide an overall vision and strategy for how the product operations team should function.
Drive automation and self-service enablement functions to simplify the onboarding and increase usage of the platform.
Evaluate current bank user authentication capabilities, make recommendations for enterprise platform components and lead the cross functional team that will build the widgets.
Partner with technology development and solution design architecture SMEs to assess our current capabilities, business architecture and go-forward strategic architecture for user authentication.
Manage a product owners and other team members who will partner with capability managers, delivery managers, architects, designers, scrum masters, business lines and other product managers to evangelize the best solutions and facilitate execution across the enterprise.
Identifying business outcomes and OKR’s for user authentication; the capability priorities that support them; secure funding, manage the backlog and build the reporting and analytics to measure success
Hands-on leader who excels at data analysis and customer research to drive discovery and ensure the right problems are identified along with the most fitting solutions.
Work collaboratively across businesses / functional areas to define, sequence, and execute the enterprise roadmap for new identity management features and vendor relationships.
Support the development of strategy and initiatives involving federated, centralized and decentralized authentication opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications

8 or more years of product experience
Strong product management, design, and development skills
Ability to lead and develop a team of digital professionals, excellent management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong change management skills focus on leading transformational change with history as a highly influential and collaborative leader.
Excellent strategic communication skills and strong executive presence that creates alignment
Experience developing multi-year, enterprise strategy for identity management and fraud / risk management capabilities; manage associated socialization, collaboration, and influence in setting broad strategic direction across all channels and LOBs
Deep experience in agile product development and DevOps environment. Experience in a Product Architecture oriented development environment including CX design
Marketing and market research skills and experience
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Responsible for the end-to-end business and financial results for multiple product sets utilizing traditional and emerging capabilities in technology, operations, and data analytics to offer customers a differentiated product experience through the leadership of teams managing new and existing products or experiences.
Uses knowledge of emerging technologies to deliver product to customers through all applicable channels. Presents initiatives to gain senior management buy-in. Manages progress to ensure initiatives are completed on time, within budget and meet strategic goals.
Influences product and customer experience trends by monitoring competitors or peer organizations to stay abreact of emerging product and technology trends in the industry. Leads teams responsible for translating concepts or designs into new or improved products, product lines or experiences and recognizes, anticipates and resolves complex operational and process problems that arise.
Evaluates potential product or experience development projects for feasibility and value. Ensures successful outcomes from key stakeholders including sales, marketing, digital channel delivery and other internal service partners. Participates in client-facing and external stakeholder activities throughout the product or experience lifecycle. Adheres to company-defined risk appetite as part of the first line of defense. Serves as point of review and sign off for risk management, compliance and audit requirements, as needed.
Manages, motivates and develops one or multiple product lines and managers as well as the performance evaluation process of the Product Development Management team and key contributors. Identifies talent gaps in team and staffs appropriately.
