Product Manager, AI Tax Preparation

Summary:

Are you looking for an opportunity to build a market-changing product? The Product Manager, AI Tax Preparation role leads the delivery of end-to-end product experiences that revolutionize the income tax preparation process for U.S. tax & accounting professionals.

Your mission will be to harness the power of AI and key technologies to create an automated and connected tax preparation experience across our broad portfolio of award-winning UltraTax and U.S. tax products and capabilities. This mission serves our wider vision to create the most connected, automated, insight-driven, open ecosystem that makes tax, accounting, and audit professionals more successful and delights their clients. In this role, you will report to the Director of Product Management for AI Tax Prep in the Tax, Accounting & Advisory Product team supporting the Tax & Accounting Professional's business.

TR has a bold vision to be the leader in AI-powered, content-driven technology, and the Product Manager, AI Tax Prep will work closely with colleagues from Product, Compliance, Engineering, TR Labs, and Design teams who are already dedicated to delivering on this mission. Teams are working closely with customers to create a product experience that is unmatched in the market today. In this role, you will work with leaders and stakeholders from these teams in refining our product roadmap, while also playing a very hands-on role in leading cross-functional distributed product teams through product discovery and delivery.

About the Role

As a Product Manager, you will: 

Develop strong product intuition by interpreting and assessing customer problems, business needs, and opportunities and offering potential solutions with a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Build world-class capabilities and products by creating a vision for the product maintaining the product roadmap and partnering closely with the dev team and UX to execute the roadmap and deliver efficiently. This includes serving as the customer voice for the engineering teams, prioritizing the product backlog based on customer and business value, and using metrics to monitor and measure progress.

Demonstrate leadership by taking extreme ownership of a feature/product, its performance and reliability, and delighting our clients with a positive experience. You will show that you can learn from your experiences, recover from setbacks, and effectively evangelize the product vision to colleagues.

You will be a well-rounded AI expert for our teams by staying on the cutting edge of AI and technology development, inspiring teams to ideate and experiment with applying AI, and sharing your unique perspective on how AI can propel the tax & accounting profession through writing, blogging, and shareouts with teams and customers

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science preferred or equivalent experience  

2+ years of Product Management experience 

Experience in fintech, with previous experience in creating tax & accounting SaaS products strongly preferred

Experience delivering projects utilizing AI, ML, Gen AI, RPA, and related tech is strongly preferred

Proven high energy, highly collaborative approach working in cross-functional matrixed environments to drive product delivery and product outcomes

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $88,200 - $163,800. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
