This position can be home-based. Team members are also remote.

 

This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on June 30, 2028, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will be responsible for activities related to quality-checking, maintaining, and enhancing the Outpace CVD™ Registry platform and supporting new and existing health system customers in the EHR integration process and use of the platform. The Product Manager will also collaborate with staff in the Clinical Research department and external health systems to support quality improvement work using registry data, primarily focused on the Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic Health Initiative, prevention of cardiovascular disease, and management of cardiovascular risk factors. This will include compiling data to identify trends.

 

This position will work closely with the outpatient Sr. Product Development Manager, our third-party software vendor for the registry platform, and other Health IT team members to oversee product quality, incorporate the latest clinical guidelines into registry functionality, and bring health system data into the registry. This work will include reviewing and testing clinical quality measures, working with expert clinical volunteers to incorporate feedback into platform enhancements, and analyzing data for use in external presentations.

Product Integration/Expansion: Act as project lead for assigned registry projects and pilots. Lead health systems in the process of loading EHR data into the registry via FHIR APIs and verifying its accuracy and completeness. Participate on teams for application of technology overlap of clinical quality improvement projects.Clinical Measure Testing: Work to understand the algorithms behind the clinical quality metrics in the registry platform and review their functionality through regular testing. Collaborate with expert clinical volunteers to implement guideline-driven logic. Coordinate with the Sr. Product Development Manager, Quality Measures team, and end-users to ensure these metrics function accurately and reflect end-user and Association needs.Data Analysis and Presentations: Pull reports from the registry platform and manipulate in Excel as needed to support internal program evaluation and external presentations. Create graphs and talking points for PowerPoint slides. Collaborate with CKMH Initiative staff and other team members to hone the data and talking points to meet the audience’s needs.Product Enhancements and Maintenance: Support Sr. Product Development Manager in developing technological specifications for the Outpace CVD Registry and other software products that use outpatient clinical data. This includes quality-checking the product and reporting defects or desired changes to the software vendor. Coordinate with software vendor to track ongoing work and deployments. Communicate enhancements and bug fixes to internal teams and external end-users.Staff and Customer Support: Develop and deliver staff and customer webinars related to assigned projects. Provide insight and guidance on technology updates and enhancements. Provide ongoing QI staff support and training as program technology subject matter expert.Budget Management and Reporting: Establish and monitor assigned project budgets including vendor service level agreements and deliverables.

 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s DegreeAt least three (3) years of relevant experienceExperience working in software development, public health, healthcare, outpatient quality improvement, or related fieldExperience with clinical data, data from Electronic Health Records (EHRs), or similar high-volume datasetsExperience presenting to large groups remotelyExperience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPointAbility to understand, interpret, and communicate clinical information, evaluate data, present findings, and comprehend new information with exceptional analytic capacityAbility to effectively work with physician experts and scientific thought leadersExceptional attention to detailWillingness to learn new software and skillsAbility to independently manage multiple complex projectsKnowledge of voluntary health organizations and experience in group process with the ability to resolve conflicts and gain consensus through mediation and collaborationAbility to travel locally or overnight up to 10% - at least one in-person department staff meeting per year

 

Preferred Skills:
