What You'll Do We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Individual Solutions team within Retirement and Income Solutions, with responsibilities of delivering valuable and viable solutions in partnership with the product team. You'll partner with our product teams, engineering, project and marketing partners while demonstrating curiosity, open-mindedness, and motivation to continue gaining exposure and experience in all phases of the product lifecycle. You'll have the opportunity to: Define and manage product strategy for a low to medium complexity products Accountable for understanding and defining key business outcomes and requirements for your product(s) Responsible for bringing the data and insights to the table for product teams and partners to understand and consume (in collaboration with design/experience experts) Collaborating with technology and non-technology partners. In partnership with other members of a team, works to remove impediments that the team may face in the pursuit of value creation Ensures the product team has the customer, user, and stakeholder context required to solve problems effectively and efficiently Collaborate with marketing, business, compliance and project management to accurately represent the product. Drive growth through campaign initiatives, and suggest improvements to provide greater participant/customer lifetime value Communicates product releases to stakeholders & partners Finds opportunities to improve the product management practice within their sphere of responsibility; and takes action to continuously improve Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Who You Are 2+ years of business, technology, or product management experience; or equivalent demonstrated through the following: work experience, military experience, or education 1+ years experience working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with engineering teams and partners Possesses strong communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with collaborators at all levels Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the company and the industry, and comprehensive knowledge of technology and its role in solving business problems Possesses understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery Strong critical thinking/vision, collaboration and decision-making skills along with business savviness and relationship management abilities Proven experience collaborating, influencing, and negotiating in a professional team environment, including demonstrating varied perspectives and data to inform actions Demonstrates ability to successfully manage multiple workloads and/or competing priorities Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Financial Services/retirement industry experience Understanding of the needs of individuals, retirement market dynamics and operations, competition, and trends impacting both the retirement recordkeeping industry and the retail advisory world High-level technical understanding of how third-party software as a service is used within your area of scope Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $77350 - $182400 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Job Level We’ll consider talent at the next level (Product Manager 2) with the right experience and skills. Hours This role will partner with our global teams and has an expectation for flexibility in your work schedule to have a regular start time around 7:30am CST. Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
