Product Manager, Lab Software Systems - Remote
Invitae, now part of Labcorp, is looking for a Product Manager to support its lab software systems. This role will contribute to the overall strategy and will lead translating that strategy into an executable plan. This job requires a high-level understanding of software development lifecycle, complex product management processes including roadmap development, new feature design and development, software industry, project management, and user experience design. Previous healthcare or life science industry experience is highly desired. Please note: this is a 100% remote position. Candidate can reside anywhere in the US. The schedule for the position will be Monday -Friday, 8am-5pm (local time zone to candidate) **Responsibilities:** + Lead the translation of the product strategy to a detailed product vision and design for the execution team + Effectively collaborate with all stakeholders in the development of designs including business stakeholders, UX, development, sales and marketing + Engage in frequent communication with business stakeholders for gathering requirements and making recommendations + Be able to explain gaps and technical concepts for an often to a non-technical audience + Develop and maintain roadmaps reflecting the strategy and execution plan + Work independently and in a collaborative team environment + Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical team, facilitating cross-department communication + Serve as the main information resource for feature definition and scope specific questions + Own KPI development and performance management with a tenacious focus on delivering tangible results + Be action oriented when assessing performance driving continuous improvement, engagement, patient satisfaction and operational efficiencies + Stay apprised of the latest technologies and innovations in lab systems and digital applications + Consistently meet agreed-upon deadlines or escalate issues, concerns and barriers to key project leaders. Be a force in driving value to market at an accelerated pace + Prepare formal presentations to socialize and gain alignment on strategic initiatives, design and their business value + Contribute to business case and return on investment preparation **Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Genetics, Computer Science, Math or similar discipline + 5+ years of experience as a Product or Project Manager, working with complex software products + Keen understanding and experience of product engineering and product management process + Critical thinking and decision-making skills based on experience, metrics and insights. + Strong verbal and written communication skills to present technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely + Highly skilled at facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution + Candidate must reside and work in US + Ability to travel once a quarter **Preferred Qualifications:** + Previous experience in healthcare, laboratory operations and lab systems + Previous experience working in a regulatory environment, such as CAP, CLIA, and/or FDA + Broad technical exposure with the ability to learn new technology tools and concepts quickly + Experience with project life-cycle management tools such as Confluence and JIRA **Application Window Deadline:** 3/12/2024 ****Salary Range:** $120,000- $160,000 per year All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. **Benefits:** Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
