Product Manager, Reference Data
About the RoleSwift, and more specifically our Data and Services Tribe, is hiring a Product Manager for SwiftRef, to join a team of experts passionate by business data as a critical enabler to financial operations and Swift’s strategy.

As a Product Manager, you are given the opportunity to make a direct impact on the existing product portfolio while contributing to defining new business opportunities.

Education

Minimum a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or equivalent through experience. MBA / Master in Marketing or equivalent is an asset.
 

Experience

5+ years of experience in the banking industry or payments landscape, or with exposure to reference data products. Alternatively, previous Product or Market management experience in another field is also considered.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contributing to the future Marketing Plan definition and Strategic Roadmap together with the SwiftRef Data Catalogue Squad Product Owner.

2. Performing thorough market and competitive analysis on the payments and financial reference data landscapes.

3. Understanding customer needs, capturing feedback, consolidating requirements, and translating them into requirements.

4. Managing the prioritisation of the data collection for specific datasets.

5. Performing various Vendor Management activities (analysing best potential vendor for new datasets collection, participating in contract negotiations, managing contracts).

6. Collaborating with other product managers on the commercial positioning of our portfolio, building value-proposition for new products/services and collaboration with key clients.

7. Managing relationship with various internal stakeholders (Swift Sales, Product Management teams, Senior Management, Business Analysts, Data Collection teams).

8. Building forward thinking marketing material leveraging the quality and richness of our data.

9. Training other Swift teams on the value of the different Reference Data datasets.

10. Managing customer relationship in data collection and data quality bespoke projects.

11. Driving successful outcomes through collaboration, influence and partnership in a complex, matrix environment.

- Experience in partner management or customer relationship management.

- Experience with data visualization and database tools such as Power BI, Tableau or MicroStrategy.

- Experience with Data Quality reporting on dimensions such as Completeness, Accuracy, and Timeliness.

- Experience with Swift payments, Swift GPI, Swift Go and other Swift Products & Services.

- Expertise in the domain of Standing Settlement Instructions (SSI) and other bilateral relationships.

- Expertise in reference data, correspondent banking, and/or payment processing.

- Knowledge of the different Payment Market Infrastructures and Payment Operators.

- Knowledge of the different Reference Data products available in the market.

- Knowledge of domestic clearing codes, also known as sort codes, National Codes, or National IDs.

- Knowledge of Agile methodology and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
