Product Manager 1-BI Reporting and Analytics
What You'll Do As a Product Manager for Data & Analytics / BI Reporting, you'll be responsible for ensuring that high-quality data is ingested, curated, and made accessible to business teams for reporting and analysis. This role requires a blend of technical understanding and product management expertise to bridge the gap between business needs and data capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Data Ingestion & Curation: Lead all aspects of the process of ingesting, transforming, and curating high-quality data from various sources to ensure it meets business requirements for BI reporting and analytics. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure those needs are met through well-defined data pipelines. Ensure Data Quality: Establish and maintain data quality standards, conducting regular audits and working with engineering teams to resolve data discrepancies, gaps, and errors. Support BI & Reporting Tools: Ensure that the data provided to business intelligence and reporting tools is accurate, timely, and structured in a way that supports self-service analytics for business users. Product Roadmap Development: Define the roadmap for data and reporting initiatives, balancing business priorities with technical feasibility, and ensuring timely delivery of features and updates. Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies, maintaining data integrity, security, and alignment to privacy standards. Optimize Data Pipelines: Collaborate with engineering and data teams to optimize data ingestion pipelines for speed, accuracy, and scalability. Documentation & Training: Create clear documentation for data processes, pipelines, and reporting structures. Monitor & Improve: Continuously monitor data usage, reporting performance, and user feedback to identify areas for improvement, and ensure the data ecosystem evolves to meet changing business needs. Who You Are 2+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data, analytics, or business intelligence products. Understanding of data concepts, such as data ingestion, ETL processes, data models, and BI reporting tools. Familiarity with SQL and common data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Experience working with multi-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and partners. Knowledge of data governance and best practices for ensuring data quality and security. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable items for non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with modern product methodologies (ex: Agile) and product management tools (ex: JIRA, Confluence). Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake). Background in business intelligence or data visualization tools and concepts. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $81900 - $147600 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
