Technical Product Manager, Content Platform

The future is connected construction, where a contractor moves seamlessly through construction planning stages, powered by connected digital workflows and artificial intelligence. Constructed construction begins with a foundation of connected, enriched construction product data (content), with critical data such as pricing, 3D parametrics, and metadata.
Trimble is building the next generation of its content platform, implementing artificial intelligence and master data management as the foundation of Trimble’s next generation of contractor solutions.
We seek a Technical Product Manager with a strong background in engineering, platforms, strategic decision making, leadership, and evangelism. This role involves working with leadership to establish the product strategy and roadmap, managing product owners to create technical requirements, working with the extended product and development team to solve business challenges and enable product development, and evangelizing the vision internally and externally.
You will drive the strategy and execution of your products, communicating the product vision through a technical lens to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Initiatives
Content transformation (Cx) initiative, the multiyear evolution of the connected content infrastructure and products and services
Next-generation data products, user portals, and APIs for the Construction Content platform
Content usage analytics across Contractor, Distributor, and Manufacturer personas
AI initiatives to drive efficiency and new use cases across data creation and enhancement, data governance, and content search
Responsibilities
Collaborate with leadership to formulate and sustain the product strategy and roadmap for your assigned products, aligning it with Trimble's overall business strategy
Oversee the technical requirements of your products, both by directly creating requirements and overseeing the work of a product owner assigned to your products
Break down high-level roadmap into manageable tasks, working with Product Managers, Feature Owners, and Product Owners, and software developers to navigate technical challenges
Communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to leadership, customers, and functional teams
Directly manage product owner(s) assigned to your product. Delegate work to them as appropriate. Mentor them in strategy, requirements writing, and cross-team communication
Actively participate in product alignment meetings within Trimble, Construction Sector, and Supply Chain
Monitor product performance closely, ensuring organization awareness of any deviation from business plan objectives and initiating action
Comprehend customer/user personas and use cases to enhance customer experience
Skills & Experience
3+ years in a product management or engineering role
Degree or accreditation in software engineering, platform experience a plus
Experience managing and delegating work as manager to team lead
Strong ability to present ideas with clarity and enthusiasm through diverse channels (presentations, decks, business plans, one on ones, etc.)
Strong analytical skills and adept at maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Ability to align with people, possess an eye for detail, and work from a high-level overview
Enthusiastic about working with product managers, software developers & UI/UX designers
Excellent command of English language (written and verbal)
