This position is within the Protein and Cell Analysis business Unit, a part of the Biosciences Division. The products in this business enable scientists to visualize and analyze cells. This position is site based at our Fort Collins, CO office.
A day in the life
Product Marketing
Collaborate directly with customers and experts in the industry to gain insights into the current and future technological requirements of the market.Develop and commercialize flow cytometry cell sorting instruments that support customers across a variety of applications and segments.Contribute to the development of the product strategy for our flow cytometry cell sorting portfolio, with a focus on cross-divisional collaboration that prioritizes customer needs, portfolio roadmaps, and integration into the Thermo Fisher Scientific value proposition.Drive revenue and profitability targets, pricing and margin strategies, and provide product management support to sales, technical support, and operations.Portfolio Management
Gain alignment on product development roadmap, including target expansion and software development.Partner with R&D to optimize investment and resource deployment.Serve as a business lead on the Product Approval Committee.Cross Functional Product LeadershipCollaborate with key functions to integrate inputs from Content Owners, Marketing, Digital/Web teams, R&D, and Operations into the formulation and implementation of product strategy.Partner with Operations to optimize inventory, reduce backorder, and minimize scrap risks.Support Commercial team with training needs.Analyze market needs, workflow opportunities, and future trends.Adopt practical process improvement (PPI) methodology to enhance the customer experience.Keys to success
Education
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience will be considered.MBA and/or Masters or Ph.D. preferred.Experience
3+ years of experience in product management, business development, marketing, sales, research and development, preferably in the healthcare or life sciences industry.In-depth understanding of the life science research market for flow cytometry instrumentation.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to distill customer requirements, understand competitive strengths and weaknesses, and develop compelling product offerings and value propositions.Outstanding communication skills, organizational capabilities, and attention to detail.Excellent understanding of business operations and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.Collaborative partner who can positively influence across functional teams in a sophisticated, highly matrixed organization.Ability to travel up to 25%.Benefits

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Colorado is $103,100.00–$150,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
