Product Manager
The Product Manager for Star Analytics will lead the development, management, and enhancement of healthcare analytics solutions that leverage health plan data to drive improved performance, regulatory compliance, and decision-making for healthcare organizations. Further, this position will oversee and manage the strategic development roadmap for the Star Analytical product. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare performance metrics, data analytics, and the ability to work cross-functionally to define product vision, strategy, and execution. Key Responsibilities: * Product Vision and Strategy: * Define and manage the vision and roadmap for Star analytics products in alignment with organizational goals and customer needs. * Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify market trends, opportunities, and pain points to inform the vision and strategy of Star analytical products. * Ensure products align with industry standards and regulations. * Develop and maintain a deep understanding of healthcare analytics, data-driven decision-making, and healthcare industry regulations. * Product Development and Management: * Write clear and detailed user stories, use cases, and requirements for new features or product enhancements related to Star performance. * Work closely with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and UX/UI teams to translate requirements into actionable features and solutions. * Prioritize features based on customer value, business needs, and technical feasibility while balancing product and regulatory requirements. * Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with clients to provide status and performance updates for continuous improvement and client satisfaction to inform the continued advancement of the Star analytics product. * Analytics and Reporting: * Lead the development of data-driven tools and dashboards that allow healthcare organizations to track and improve their Star Ratings. * Collaborate with data teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs), ensure accurate data collection, and maintain high-quality analytics. * Develop reporting solutions that allow stakeholders to monitor performance trends and make actionable decisions based on insights from Star Rating forecasts and scenarios. * Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: * Serve as the main point of contact for business, technical, and operational stakeholders regarding Star analytics products. * Provide regular updates and progress reports to leadership teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with healthcare regulations. * Conduct user training sessions and workshops to ensure stakeholders understand how to leverage Star analytics tools effectively. * Regulatory Compliance and Industry Expertise: * Ensure that Star Rating analytics products comply with all relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., CMS guidelines, HIPAA, etc.). * Stay informed about changes in Star Rating methodologies, industry trends, and emerging technologies to continuously improve product offerings. * Work with compliance and legal teams to ensure that the product meets all necessary standards for data privacy and security. * Continuous Improvement and Performance Monitoring: * Analyze product usage and feedback to continuously improve the product and address any emerging issues or opportunities. * Collaborate with customers to understand their challenges with Star Ratings and identify product features that address these pain points. * Track product performance metrics, ensuring that Star rating products lead to meaningful improvements in healthcare outcomes and compliance. Required Skills and Qualifications: * Educational Background: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. * Experience: * 3-5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on healthcare analytics, Star Ratings, or quality performance measurement. * Familiarity with CMS Star Rating program, the Star calculus and its impact on health plans, payers, and healthcare providers. * Experience in healthcare data analytics, including working with claims data, quality measures, administrative data and healthcare metrics. * Proven track record of working in Agile/Scrum environments and delivering data-driven products. * Skills: * Strong understanding of Star Ratings and related healthcare performance metrics. * Knowledge of healthcare data, analytics platforms, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, R, or Python). * Ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external clients. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data and analytics into clear business insights. * Solid project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with healthcare data standards (e.g., HEDIS, NCQA) and healthcare quality measurement tools. * Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics techniques for improving healthcare performance metrics. * Familiarity with the Medicare Advantage and Medicaid programs and how Star Ratings influence reimbursement and quality performance. * Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner - CSPO) or healthcare quality management.
