Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets. This position within the Aerospace, Defense, & Marine business unit in the Industrial Solutions segment - and is located remotely in the US.

 

Day-to-Day Job Overview

Assist in the analysis of daily managerial situations impacting the assigned product lines. Examples include pricing analysis in preparation of new product launch, bi-annual price changes, response to special pricing requests. Perform daily tasks as needed for specific customers as part of overall account management and support. Perform product cost analysis Gather product-related customer feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction. Develop sales forecasts (demand plan) and own the plan.

 

Responsibilities

Gather product specification and product attribute information for the development of marketing collateral, including e-catalog. Work with the engineering team to ensure products are released on time and per customer requirements. Maintain industry, technical, application knowledge and other skills to increase personal effectiveness. Coordinate and implement product and applications training for customers, sales, customer service, applications engineering, etc. Provide product information to customers and/or the sales team.

This position will join a small team, but relies heavily on authority through influence. With heavy accountability for the financial performance and growth of their portfolio, the team operates highly autonomously and interacts regularly with all levels of the business. Given this interaction is necessary for the success of this position, the right candidate is expected to perform comfortably as a manager. What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
•    8+ years’ experience, including 3+ years of product management, sales, business development or other relevant experience 
•    Relevant product or industry experience, strongly preferred
•    Strong business acumen with an ability to understand technically complex concepts
•    Creative and innovative thinker able to provide input on the development of the product strategies and the relevant business plans with the ability to execute
•    Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, high-paced environment
•    Strong interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills
•    Ability to influence cross-functional teams and to build strong relationships both internally and externally 
•    Advanced presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to foster understanding and acknowledgment of critical information both up and down the organization

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,300 - $205,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
