The Product Manager works with the global Sales and Support team and global Engineering functions across software and hardware to build and strengthen the customer base for our solutions in the Cold Chain. This person is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the development team by managing costs to maintain and improve our gross margin and overall effectiveness of our new product development and life cycle management.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing or Business or equivalent combination of years and experience.
2 + years working on technology-powered products as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher.
Ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, operations, sales, or marketing.
Expertise in product discovery and ability to structure a testing plan to validate/invalidate assumptions from insight to launch. Curiosity and a drive to learn and solve problems for customers.
Experience with the implementation of growth, new business development and marketing initiatives that lead to stronger market penetration.
A willingness to work with teams across multiple time zones.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship will not be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
Has experience with electronic products.
Has launched multiple products. IoT products is a bonus.
Experience working in the Marine Transportation industry is a bonus
Experience working with technologies such as cellular communication, Bluetooth, IP networks, RS-232 and proprietary protocols
Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, The salary/pay range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
Ownership & Responsibilities:Vision, strategy and portfolio management Contributes product vision, strategy and roadmap for Transportation hardware Aligns hardware roadmap with software roadmap Collaborates with other Cold Chain verticals to align roadmaps Team leadership, goal establishment and measurement of progress
Develop and drive deep knowledge of the business, understanding current business goals and stakeholders whilst securing visibility of the vision and strategy
Ensure product team can connect the product to its customers and be positioned to present and explain the value proposition
Develop and execute product OKRs/KPIs (objectives and key results/key performance indicators) aligned with commercial business objectives
Drive and build internal innovation capabilities and champion a culture of creativity, innovative thinking and learning
Product requirements and prioritization of development workEnsure new product or feature development is aligned with business strategy and goals
Overall responsible for signing off product and detailed feature requirements
Develops business cases for new products and product enhancements working with cross-functional team to refine product concept, evaluate its feasibility and communicate to key stakeholders.
Prioritizes the work across the portfolio (new customer features, products improvements, bugs, maintenance and cost optimization)
Make balanced judgments when faced with costs, timing, and resource tradeoffs.
Consulted in technical and business decisions. Understands what is being built and the tradeoffs.
Know the impact of decisions on the ecosystem performance
Customer acquisition and go-to-market supportOversees the framework and requirements for product training of service/sales and other key go-to-market functions
Represents product in engagements with OEMs, integrators and third parties and can speak to technical specifications
Works with marketing communications to develop marketing material
Deep knowledge of the industryUnderstands relevant market and category trends and recognize disruptive technologies and legislative, agency and regulatory impacts.
Monitors competitive activity, and assess competitive product and technology strategies
Conducts technology and market environment research as needed or works with analysts
Supports product discovery and experimentation for TransportationDevelop insights about the user interaction and technical functionalities with the product and eco-system
Develop skills to understand deep knowledge of the data that enables us to understand product and user behavior, measure progress, prove if ideas work and inform decisions
Identifies riskiest assumptions and key questions we must get answered and means for tracking those within the product team
Support development and governance of running experiments to get answers to key questions and address riskiest assumptions
Portfolio / Product Life Cycle Management
Determine the optimal product portfolio to meet the customers need and operational goals
Develop plan for product obsolescence, rationalization of portfolio and phase outs and transitions
Execute the product lifecycle management plan (product modifications, product transitions, obsolescence, etc.)
