PitchBook’s Product Manager II works collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute on the department’s product roadmap. This role plays an active role in defining strategy and prioritizing our roadmap. The Product Manager II will mentor new and junior Product Managers on PitchBook’s product and the Product Management processes at PitchBook.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

\n\nValidate client needs, pain points, and business opportunities through ongoing user research \nBe a SME for your product area(s) and resource for team members across PitchBook \nActively define roadmap prioritization and create business cases for new opportunities \nCreate detailed functional specifications from prioritized requirements \nCommunicate requirements and technical details to stakeholders, including engineering teams \nWork collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute your product roadmap \nContinuously improve our external and internal deliverables and operational processes \nBuild strategy for integration of existing Data Technology tools with our Public Equity operations team \nGive compelling presentations to stakeholders on projects and vision \nBe a resource for junior team members on the Product Management process \nSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors \nParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested \n\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, or related field \n3+ years of product management experience \nA proven record of shipping high impact data solutions and workflow tools \nBias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals \nExperience gathering user-centric requirements and writing functional specification documents \nSuperior attention to detail including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong audience awareness \nStrong understanding of the Public Equity domain \nExperience collaborating with data gathering/operations teams \nDemonstrate application of artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions to improve process efficiency. This includes knowledge of Optical Character Recognition, Classifier training, and Prompt Engineering \nExperience communicating with remote teams and stakeholders\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Outlook, Word, and Excel skills with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily\n\n

Compensation

\n\nAnnual base salary: $125,000-$150,000\nTarget annual bonus percentage: 10%\n\n

 

\n

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

\n

 

\n

Working Conditions:

\n

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position. 

\n

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
