Product Manager - Real-Time Platform Technology & Content

What is the role? Our real-time products capture opportunities in fast-moving markets with timely access to the most comprehensive market data, evaluated pricing, trading activity, analytics, and events in a consolidated API. Consolidated and normalized real-time and delayed market data comes from 330+ exchanges with connectivity from financial hubs around the globe to minimize latency. We also provide consolidated and normalized data from 5,000+ of global pricing contributors across asset classes spanning fixed income, futures, options, currency, equity, and index. Data is delivered with flexible options via managed appliance, zero footprint, or cloud.

This role focuses on improving existing and creating new real-time solutions to meet client needs. Areas of potential focus include equities, events, commodities, and entitlement management. As a product manager, you will be responsible for developing strategies and working with engineering teams to deliver solutions that extend our market leading position.? You will define the future of the product while maintaining quality and consistency, resolving current product challenges, and identifying strategic third-party relationships for increased client adoption

We will trust you to: -Develop user stories and requirements that will lead to the delivery of new products, new product features, and existing product improvements that will be used by top capital markets firms -Effectively manage data product roadmap, specifications, prioritization, and backlog by continually addressing business needs based on market trends and customer demand through an agile process -Clearly communicate product vision and development status by setting, tracking, and reviewing metrics for desired product outcomes -Perform market research and competitive analysis as well as analyze technological trends to identify new business opportunities and contribute to the team's overall business plan and strategy -Acquire knowledge of customer investing processes, data and technology stacks, workflows, and internal structures with a focus on improving client usability of services -Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including data specialists, sales, engineers, and service delivery to define and scope product requirements, reflecting input from multiple parties -Own your product’s documentation and collaborate with marketing to develop client-facing collateral -Develop a deep understanding of our enterprise offering as well as the accessibility, usability, quality, tools, and services available to clients that allow them to deepen their interaction and usage of our content -Develop a strong relationship with a core group of clients that will partner with us to expand our understanding of their key challenges and evolve our offering through ongoing dialogue and experimentation to systematically solve their challenges -Represent Bloomberg globally to our customers, prospects, and vendor partners -Be exceptionally focused on how the product and its delivery impacts the client
You will need to have: -5+ years’ experience as a product manager -Proven understanding of the financial markets and different needs of buy-side and sell-side customers when dealing with systems and services that support the trade lifecycle -Demonstrated ability to deconstruct client challenges and take a data driven approach when making a business case for resources, enhancements, and getting management buy-in -Capability of fostering relationships with new and existing clients as well building an internal network focused on collaboration and strong culture of teamwork -Understanding of one or more of the following: APIs, service-oriented architectures, architecting for the web, or designing solutions for the cloud 
-  Experience with Real Time market data and distribution technologies
