COMPENSATION: $87,428.00 to $191,247.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
The Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategic direction of business enablement process, technology, and business intelligence for their respective business unit. They work closely with cross-functional teams, such as credit, ops, sales, compliance, legal, risk, marketing and technology delivery teams, to ensure that the product meets customer needs and business objectives. The product manager is involved in all stages of the product lifecycle, from ideation and research, through to launch and post-launch analysis. They gather customer feedback and market data to inform product strategy and make data-driven decisions. Additionally, the product manager is responsible for defining and communicating product requirements, setting priorities, and managing the product roadmap.
How You Will Spend Your Time
• Work with key stakeholders to develop the long-term product strategy, vision and roadmap that aligns with association strategic imperatives and marketplace needs.
• Oversee the product development process, from ideation to post-production innovation, while emphasizing customer experience, process innovation, strategic functionality, innovation and return on investment.
• Support the development and communication of product strategies dependent on new services/features to drive results.
• Set priorities and manage the product backlog to ensure that the most important features are developed and launched first.
• Work with engineering and design teams to ensure that the product is technically feasible and well designed.
• Define product requirements and create product specifications that guide product development.
• Works with different lines of business on implementing new product strategies.
• Transform the business through business process and platform innovation.
• Monitor and analyze product performance, including usage metrics, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
• Develop industry awareness and relationships that help inform competitive strategies and future roadmap functionality.
• Make data-driven decisions based on insights from customer and market research. Maintain the Product Backlog and evaluate business value of potential product enhancements.
• Create and update product roadmaps, with a focus on epic level and long-term roadmap items. Collaborate with stakeholders to create change management plans.
• Work with business stakeholders to develop, report on and visualize Key Performance Indicators.
• Represent and communicate Farm Credit Mid-America purpose and values and comply with association conduct and security policies and confidentiality expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the Product Manager:
• Provides coaching, training and mentoring to the Product Owners.
The typical incumbent has a bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, statistics, business administration, related field or equivalent related professional experience. Four years (4) experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner working on technology implementation projects, or relevant business experience. Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, facilitating decision making, strategic planning and road mapping. Demonstrates strong ability to manage expectations and meet firm deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
