Job Description Insight Global's client is looking to hire a Product Manager to join their team to focus on their internal tools used for Merch & Finance Planning, Assortment Planning, and Space Planning of their retail stores. For some background, they have hundreds of space planners and their jobs are to plan out where retail items are being placed and displayed in the stores. There is both Macro planning (birdseye view) and Micro (which is the street view of google maps for example). This person will be working on the internal tools that these teams use in order to accomplish space planning, but will also be pulled in on different projects surrounding merchandising and financial planning as well as assortment planning. There is an existing tool for space planning that needs enhancements. For assortment planning they are currently working with a 3rd party vendor to build a tool. And for MFP, they do not currently have a tool in place. This person will be both managing the enhancements of the existing tool and how they can fix issues and helping with the new tool that is being built, asking the right questions etc. On a day to day basis, this person will be managing and executing on the backlog. There are a lot of internal stakeholders, so stakeholder management skills are very important. There are also a lot of downstream dependencies on these tools and understanding how a change can open a can of worms within pricing, data team, etc. Someone who can anticipate these changes. This role will have a lot of ambiguity, so being independent and able to tackle issues. Skills and Requirements -3-5 years of true Product Management experience - someone hungry and ability to dig in- stakeholder management, doing the right prioritization, working with different parties internal and external -Experience working on internal products around retail merchandising tools and systems. Should have experience either in Space Planning (SP) -Really motivated, driven -Experience in retail -Experience working on internal technical products -ADO or Jira for Product Tracking -Working with multiple internal, external teams.
