The Amazon Music Identity team is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational services that enable authentication, profile management, household sharing, and compliance across the Music platform. The Identity team is seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our growing organization. This role will focus on driving customer-facing identity features, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and supporting core identity infrastructure. You will work across both our Identity Core and Profiles & Household teams to deliver seamless experiences that help customers engage with Amazon Music while maintaining the highest security and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, experience with consumer products, and the ability to balance customer experience with security requirements. You should be data-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with multiple stakeholder groups. Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities * Drive the development and launch of customer-facing identity features including profile management and household sharing * Own compliance initiatives ensuring adherence to global regulations for age verification * Partner with engineering teams to define and implement authentication and account management solutions * Analyze user behavior data to identify opportunities for feature optimization and adoption improvement * Create and maintain documentation for technical requirements and compliance audits * Coordinate with UX teams to optimize user flows and reduce friction in critical paths * Track and report on key metrics including feature adoption, authentication success rates, and compliance adherence About the team The Amazon Music Identity team is on a mission to enable personalized, inclusive, and secure music experiences through robust identity services. Our organization is structured into two dynamic teams with distinct yet complementary charters: Identity Core * Powers the fundamental identity experiences that bring music to life for our customers * Builds innovative solutions for authentication, including technologies like SSO and passkeys * Creates frictionless onboarding experiences that help new users discover Amazon Music * Ensures secure and compliant access across global markets Profiles, Household & Taste Collection * Enables rich household experiences through sophisticated profile management * Builds age-appropriate features that keep families safe while enjoying music together * Creates personalized experiences by understanding user preferences and taste signals * Drives engagement through intelligent household sharing capabilities Basic Qualifications - Experience in customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services - Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent - Experience coordinating complex products with stringent technical requirements, development cycles and schedules Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process - Experience with data analysis, metrics tracking, Strong SQL skills and A/B testing - Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines - Knowledge of global compliance requirements (COPPA, GDPR, etc.). The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
