Product Manager – Transportation Business Unit
Position Overview
Product Management is a critical technical and business leadership function! Product Managers explore and identify market and product opportunities, help define strategy and be an authority cross-functionally to achieve results. The Product Manager develops product requirements based on customer and market needs, collaborates with R&D to deliver the product, and partnering with our Business Managers to form clearly defined go-to-market product plans that deliver differentiated value to NI customers.
This position focuses on understanding the Transportation ecosystem and markets.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Deep understanding of product, portfolio, platform and competition
• Develops product requirements through customer and market needs
• Decides and maintains the multi-year roadmap and product vision for product areas.
• Influences the long-term strategic goals to create market differentiation and disruptions
• Trusted subject matter expert for industries and applications using your product line knowledge
• Crafts aggregated cases for product and technology investments
• Inspires confidence in customers (Business Managers, R&D and BU leadership, etc.)
• Able to diffuse conflict and tensions in a forward-moving manner when various perspectives yield strong passion for different decisions
• Leverages and strengthens relationships with key end users and establishes relationships internally and externally with customers, partners, distributors (or other collaborators)
