Position summary

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Product Managers, Technical is located in Frisco, TX will Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

• Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Analyze user needs and drive requirements develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs.

Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.

Detail the system design specifications from which programs can be written.

Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.

Identify and evaluate systems and procedures.

Act as a liaison between development groups and business units.

Analyze complex internal business problems for automated systems solutions.

Formulate and define system scope and objectives, identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.

Lead the interpretation of designs for business and developers.

Serve as a technical expert in in presentations, demonstrations and lead all phases of customer interaction during analysis and design implementation and represent customers’ interests during technical meetings within the Company.

Serve as a subject-matter expert and analyst in team, guiding accurate and cost-effective detailed designs.

Function as the primary point of contact for external teams for any technical issues and questions related to the application.

Participate in review and approval of design documents created by peers and participate in software architecture analysis to identify system bottlenecks, configuration and networking issues and for enhancements determining new or adapted software and hardware that would best fit proposed software solutions.

Work on migration of legacy systems from older architectures to state-of-the-art technologies to align with Company’s vision of future state cloud-native Micro Services Architecture.

Interface with product support, development and test teams and provide subject-matter expertise on new and existing projects.

Assist in level of effort (LOE) by providing scope impacts on projects.

Translates product/platform strategy by writing detailed feature and user stories consumable for Dev teams for products.

Collaborates with PM and Dev leaders to craft, architect and assemble effective products for Agile delivery teams.

Manages feature and story elaboration activities across all Agile Teams throughout execution, typically maintaining 2 iterations (Sprints) worth user stories ‘ready’ for Dev to pick up in Team’s prioritized Backlogs.

Skill requirements:

Must have some professional experience in each of the following:

(1) Transform the business requirements to technical features and user stories and create a product backlog for the product requirements in Agile Application Lifecycle Management tools JIRA and JIRA-ALIGN;

(2) Create/review product documents HLDs (High Level Design), TDDs (Technical Design Document), IDDs (Interface Design Description), OpenAPI Specs, YAML (Yet Another Markup Language) and JSON (Java Script Object Notation) files using tools Confluence, SharePoint, LucidChart, SwaggerHub, VisualStudioCode to ensure the design covers all the requirements;

(3) Ensure requirements traceability by tracking test cases against requirements using tools qTest and JIRA and perform user acceptance testing for the product functionality using tools Postman and the application user interface;

(4) Contribute to key Agile ceremonies Product Increment (PI) Planning/ Big Room Planning; System Demo; Inspect and Adapt.

(5) Manage product requirements by grooming the backlog items, prioritizing and aligning backlog to the product roadmap.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or related, and 5 years of relevant post-Bachelor’s, progressive work experience.
