Product Marketing & Business Development Specialist
Job Purpose and Summary

Canon EMEA is looking for a Product Marketing Specialist to join the B2B team driving the lifecycle marketing plan for Canon’s portfolio of office devices, helping our customers and channel partners address their business challenges with innovative, state-of-the-art solutions.

With your understanding of product technology and how it can address the needs of our customers, you will create marketing value propositions for the assigned products, driving the strategy and sales enablement plans through the channels and then monitoring and ensuring implementation.

Acting as the subject matter expert, you will work with colleagues from the wider Marketing and Innovation team to create market awareness and campaigns, as well as sales enablement tools.

This is a role that requires previous experience in Product Marketing and preferably from similar industries.

In addition to a salary between £44,000 and £55,000 depending on experience, you'll be eligible for a performance-based bonus of 10%. What we ask

Key responsibilities:

- Marketing responsibility for the selected product portfolio and be the evangelist by clearly understanding and promoting how our technology adds value to customers and partners alike

- Drive product awareness and education into the sales channels by creating engaging and compelling content on the benefits of our technology

- Develop and maintain marketing and sales assets such as website content, video, presentations, PR, social media content, brochures etc to ensure maximum impact of content

- Engage with EMEA HQ and NSO (National Sales Organisation) Sales and Marketing functions as a subject matter expert to create and fulfil marketing plans based on business unit objectives.

- Facilitate the full office device portfolio lifecycle marketing with a focus on new product introductions and revenue boosting activities.

- Gather and apply market insights; the voice of the market, sales channels and customers to feed into future technology development

- Collaborate on new product launches and ensure GTM readiness addressing the omni-channel approach through to customers

- Be responsible for monitoring and analysing competitor’s activities; messaging, technology, portfolio, pricing etc.

- Drive sales enablement and demand creation programs.

You will need

- Professional background in B2B technology marketing with whole lifecycle product marketing, or similar 

- Customer focussed. i.e be able to translate product, tech features into customer value. Experience in creating customer value propositions.

- Commercial mindset.

- Good presentation and communication skills.

- Good technical knowledge - or an interest for it; to know how products, software and services come together to create and deliver a solution.

- Gather and apply market insights, form and apply strategic thinking.

Further Information

Salary: between £44,000 and £55,000, depending on experience, plus 10% annual bonus and great benefits.
This is a hybrid working role with 3 days in the office and 2 working from home.
