About the Role:
\nThe Revenue Operations team is responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually improving PitchBook’s systems that support our client-facing roles in Sales and Customer Success. This team works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT to drive efficiency, accuracy, and revenue growth.
\nAs a Product Owner within the Financial Platform team at PitchBook, you'll play a crucial role in translating automation, workflow, and integration requirements into actionable work for our engineering team members. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between business requirements and code development, ensuring that all aspects of the requirements are meticulously covered in the proposed solution. You'll serve as the Product Owner for the team, taking ownership of the backlog, creating user stories, and ensuring that acceptance criteria for each work item are met. This role demands strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of finance technologies, and the ability to communicate effectively across different teams.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
\n\nCollaborate with the Manager, Finance Platform to understand automation, workflow, and integration requirements. Work closely with technical resources to decompose requirements into features and tasks, ensuring alignment with the team's objectives\nTranslate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications\nServe as the Product Owner for the team, owning and managing the backlog, prioritizing features, and ensuring timely delivery\nParticipate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, demos, and retrospectives to refine the backlog and improve team efficiency\nAct as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements\nConduct thorough analysis of existing finance technologies and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement finance technology solutions that drive business growth and efficiency\nProvide sprint reporting to the Product Manager and Technical Program Managers to understand delivery and team velocity\nStay updated on industry trends and best practices in finance technology, bringing innovative ideas to the team\nSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors \nParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested \n\n\n
Skills and Qualifications:
\n\nBachelor’s degree\n3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role, preferably in finance, sales technology, or software development\nStrong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ) and ERP systems (Oracle)\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail\nProficiency in Agile methodologies, with experience in managing backlogs and sprint planning\nExperience with Jira and Confluence including writing JQL and writing documentation\nHands-on experience in all stages of the product lifecycle\nAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders\nExperience with project management tools such as Asana\nProven experience in conducting SWAG-estimation with a cross-functional team as a part of the transition from Ideation to Refinement stage\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively\nAdvanced experience in Google, Microsoft 365 Suite, or Aha!\nFamiliarity with SQL, APIs, and data integration concepts is a plus\n\n\n

Compensation
\n\nAnnual base salary: $110,000-$140,000\nTarget annual bonus percentage: 10%\n\n\n
*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:
\nWe believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
\nThe job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
