Product Owner Ecommerce Web and Mobile App
Brinker International is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead our ecommerce web and mobile app application initiatives on the Digital Guest Experience Marketing team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage and deliver on objectives that enable robust digital experiences for our restaurant guests.
Job Summary
As a product owner, you will be the main point of contact for ecommerce initiatives related to our restaurant web and mobile applications for all restaurants brands (Chili's and Maggiano's). You will work closely with key business partners, Brinker IT architects and developers, as well as third-party vendors to drive product strategy and roadmap for each application. Leveraging Agile development principles, you will be responsible for participating in planning sessions, documenting detailed user stories, and working with subject matter experts to refine, manage and prioritize backlog items in alignment with Brinker's business objectives. You will also be expected to provide guidance and oversight on QA validation, user acceptance testing and deployment activities.
Your Key Job Functions
Define and maintain each products' vision and strategy Partner with key business stakeholders and IT engineers and 3rd party vendors to analyze, understand, and document business needs and objectives that need to be delivered Collaborate with finance, analytics, accounting and other internal teams to define success criteria and metrics Create journey maps, process flows, and other supporting visual requirements documentation Perform Agile responsibilities such as writing and refining user stories, specifying acceptance criteria, backlog grooming, prioritization and risk management Provide leadership to development teams by clearly communicating sprint goals and objectives and making key decisions Communicate regularly with business partners and development teams to ensure a transparent and productive environment Analyze product performance to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations for product enhancements Effectively manage multiple streams of work and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner Maintain a relationship with the IT Service Desk and Guest Engagement managers to communicate upcoming release notes, new functionality, known bugs and FAQs Work with enterprise governance, security, risk and compliance functions as needed Participate in the evaluation of technology solutions including detailed analysis of build vs. buy optionsWhat you Bring to the Team
3+ years experience in a technical leadership role leading project development teams Strong working knowledge of Agile development principles and processes Excellent oral and written communication skills - ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences including those at senior leadership levels Detailed functional understanding of digital marketing ecommerce applications, interfaces and business processes Self-motivated to accomplish team goals in a fast-paced environment Exhibit the ability to improvise, adapt, and overcome unforeseen obstacles to achieve desired results Hospitality or retail industry experience a plus BS/BA degree for Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent formal training or work experience
