Product Owner

We are seeking an intermediate Product Owner to join a leading banking client in downtown Toronto. In this role, you will take ownership of specific project phases, ensuring scope containment and timely delivery. You will support the team with various tasks, ensuring all necessary actions are completed, and run and facilitate meetings effectively. Your responsibilities will include working on everyday banking features, replacing the current platform, handling vendor management, and coordinating with external partners. You will involve other teams in discussions, manage change requests (CRs), and ensure legal reuse and approval of content, waiting for the full picture before final approval.
Responsibilities:

Support the team with various tasks and ensure all necessary actions are completed.
Run and facilitate meetings effectively.
Work on everyday banking features, replacing the current platform.
Handle vendor management and coordinate with external partners.
Involve other teams in discussions and manage change requests (CRs).
Ensure legal reuse and approval of content, waiting for the full picture before final approval.
Support new phases around alerts, fraud implications, and authentication.
Manage marketing components within the platform.
Collaborate with the tech team on integration of systems, though this is not a technical role.
Project: The Bank is building a new banking platform in collaboration with their US partner. The current off-the-shelf solution is limiting, and aim to lift and shift to a more tailored solution that fits US banking requirements seamlessly. This is an extensive project with six phases, currently in phases 3 and 4, involving a large team over several months.
