Product Owner
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Product Owner in the technology industry, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. The Product Owner will play a crucial role in translating customer needs into technical requirements, developing a product vision, and overseeing the product development lifecycle. Working closely with business partners and customers, the Product Owner will ensure technical requirements align with the product strategy and will be responsible for problem-solving product-related issues. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements • Develop and maintain the product roadmap, considering both technical feasibility and business needs • Oversee the scrum team throughout its development lifecycle, including leading all scrum ceremonies • Collaborate with business partners and customers to develop a comprehensive product vision and roadmap • Define and prioritize the technical backlog, ensuring it remains up-to-date • Solve product-related problems and make decisions based on trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverables • Develop scope, user stories, and use case scenarios • Lead stand ups and Scrum Ceremonies • Utilize Atlassian Jira for efficient product management • Engage in backlog grooming and other Agile Scrum activities. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Owner role or similar. • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and bug tracking systems. • Familiarity with cloud technologies and Agile Scrum methodologies. • Experience in backlog grooming and Agile product management. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Knowledge of product lifecycle management. • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Experience in developing product strategies and effectively communicating recommendations to executive management. • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done. • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
