Product Owner
Product Owner Location: Remote, United States, United States **Description** Dodge Construction Network (Dodge) is looking for a Product Owner to join our team. This role is responsible for defining and designing the next generation Dodge SaaS application platform that provides millions of records of data representing construction projects to customers such as architects, engineers, contractors, and building product manufacturers, while connecting buyers and sellers in a commercial construction marketplace. As the champion and advocate for the product, the Product Owner ensures alignment with customer needs and business objectives. By maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog, the Product Owner bridges the gap between stakeholders and the development team, delivering innovative solutions that delight our customers and drive value for Dodge. This role maximizes product impact, enables cross-functional collaboration, and fostersanagile mindset to deliver on-time, quality software that achieves strategic goals and delights our customers. Thisis afull-timepositionandreports directly to theVP, Technical Product Management. **_Preferred_** **_Location_** This is a remote,home-officebasedrole and candidates located in thecontinentalUnitedStateswill be considered **_Travel Requirements_** The expectedtravel isapproximately 10%forthis role **_Essential Functions_** + Work closely with the development team to facilitate discussions, provide clarity on requirements, do acceptance testing and design reviews + Be a champion for your users by effectively doing voice of customer requirements gathering + Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to define user personas, user’s jobs to be done, key problems, features, and stories that can be effectively developed by the engineering team + Translate high level or ambiguous requests into actionable, value-focused user stories that follow INVEST criteria + Own and manage the product backlog by continuously prioritizing, ordering, and defining features and stories to ensure 2+ sprints of work is always meeting the definition of ready + Ensure prioritization aligns with validated customer problems/needs and greatest revenue impact + Collaborate with product managers, user experience designers and customers to define a clear data driven prioritized product roadmap that provides high customer value and user experience + Collaborate with product managers and other product owners for definition of major releases, minor releases, customer fixes, minimum viable products, and yearly roadmap plans + Present and validate product and roadmap with both internal and external stakeholders + Ensure alignment and transparency across a wide set of stakeholders including customers, UX designers, program managers, software architects, development managers and development engineers + Leverage data, analytics, and product instrumentation techniques to track user behavior and prioritize development + Have a strong understanding of technology and architecture and its impact on the solution delivered to the customer + Closely partner with engineering leaders to ensure there is a strong development process based on agile methodologies that delivers continuous, high quality, SaaS software releases **_Education Requirement_** Bachelor’s degreein a related fieldor equivalent education and work experience **_Required_** **_Experience_** **_, Knowledge_** **_and Skills_** + 4+ years of technical product management/product owner experience + Able to drive exploring alternate technologies and approaches to solve the customers problem + Skilled at breaking down problems to features, creating a strong development process, estimating work, and assessing impact of technology decisions + Able to manage competing stakeholder requests into an aligned roadmap and value proposition for the development team + Able tocreateand articulate a cost vs benefit analysis of alternatives + Remain up to date about capabilities in competitive products + Strong acumen of software development lifecycle, software design, coding practices and agile development + Experience with continuous delivery of features in a SaaS solution + Experience with building data and analytics-based solutions + Ability to participate in technical conversations such as scalability, concurrency, APIs, user instrumentation and data mining + Able to motivate and energize the greater team toward a common goal and commitment + Exhibit continued positivity towards a goal and finding new alternatives when there are failures along the way + Able to communicate reasoning behind a suggestion with data and the implications of alternative + Proactive in identifying issues and driving the cross-functional team to find resolutions through critical thinking, design patterns and best practices + Able to look holistically at a problem and solutions by “connecting the dots” + Proactively seeks to learn new skills, processes and external market changes that can lead to business innovation **_Preferre_** **_d_** **_Experience_** **_, Knowledge_** **_and Skills_** Industry experience in B2B SaaS, marketplace product, and/or construction **_About Dodge Construction Network_** Dodge Construction Network exists to deliver the comprehensive data and connections the construction industry needs to build thriving communities.Our legacy is deeply rooted in empowering our customers with transformative insights, igniting their journey towards unparalleled business expansion and success.We serve decision-makers who seek reliable growth and who value relationships built on trust and quality.
