Product Owner

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Manage the full lifecycle of software delivery and play a key role in the formulation of the technical product strategy and roadmap management. Work closely with both the Engineering and Security teams along with customer teams, managing the backlog of product requirements from all stakeholders. Responsible for planning, coordinating, communicating and delivering quality software product releases to provide maximum business value. Engage with internal and external stakeholders regarding product requirements while managing expectations with respect to delivery capability and release planning. Provide the vision for the API product suite and identify third-party APIs that are needed for business success. Create and maintain a product backlog and produce a prioritized list of clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria. Work closely with Agile Scrum teams during the refinement and implementation of user stories providing input, advice and clarifications when needed. Work in an agile development environment, planning iterations and releases to meet business objectives while effectively managing risk and scope.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Product Management, Computer Science, Business, Marketing or related field of study plus 10 years of experience in the job offered or as Product Owner, Product Manager, Cloud Engineering Specialist, Technical Architect, Technology Lead, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires 10 years of experience with the following: using data analysis tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Adobe Analytics to make data driven decisions that maximize return on investment; working with APIs including their role in modern software development; designing API first product offerings including working with Java, Python, and Node.js programming languages; API design principles including authentication methods OAuth and API keys, versioning and documentation OpenAPI and Swagger and cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Requires 8 years of experience with: implementing strategies for monetizing API platforms including implementing subscription-based, freemium and pay per use models to deliver a measurable return on investment. Requires 5 years of experience with the following: presenting complex technical concepts to a broad audience, including executives, customers, and development teams; creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation for both internal teams and external developers; Security and Compliance and implementing industry best practices encryption and rate limiting and compliance requirements GDPR and HIPAA as part of an API first product offering. Requires 4 years of experience with the following: CI/CD pipelines and containerization Docker and Kubernetes and API monitoring tools including Sentry and New Relic and Pingdom. Requires 3 years of experience with the following:  working with a share-plan platform and delivering strong customer outcomes for clients in the equity management space.
