Job Title: Product Owner
Job Description

This position will work with stakeholders to define requirements for product features and collaborate with the software development team to continually improve the web application user experience.

ResponsibilitiesContribute to the product vision, help direct the product roadmap, and determine key features for each increment that add stakeholder value.Understand the minimum marketable feature and enhance it incrementally with successive releases.Adapt to changes from the business, stakeholders, competitors, and new technologies.Maintain and refine the product backlog, keeping it updated, organized, and prioritized.Breakdown larger initiatives and epics into features defined as tasks, enablers, and user stories.Gather requirements from business, stakeholders, developers, testers, and other product owners.Understand technical concepts of software development including: cloud architecture, relational databases, and client-server to comprehend feasibility and complexity of a feature.Create and refine tasks, enablers, and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria and supporting documentation for the development team.Perform desk checks after tickets are coded, reviewing acceptance criteria to ensure work is complete.Participate in scrum ceremonies including: Daily Scrum Call, Sprint Planning, Review, and Retrospective. Lead Backlog Refinement meetings. Champion Agile methodologies throughout the organization.Evaluate enhancement ideas that come during in-flight development and determine priority with other active work in the product increment.Work independently and with other team members on: sketches, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.Follow and build onto the product style guide to promote consistency in UX/UI throughout the application.Understand complex mechanical systems related to the application.Essential Skills3+ years of product owner experience, open to candidates with 8+ years of experience.Proven past success leading projects and understanding the financial perspective behind decision-making.Experience with feature function development prioritization and CI/CD.Proficiency in various project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, etc.Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.Ownership and analytical skills for creating user stories and generating them.Understanding of UX/UI trends and the ability to coach the UX/UI team.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, or related field.Proficiency with software toolkits such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, Figma, Miro, Adobe XD.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated high level attention to detail.Track record of delivering product on time.Understanding of UX/UI best practices.Experience with financial services is a plus.Work Environment

Hybrid work schedule with flexible hours. Remote work on Monday and Friday. Core hours are 9:30 AM - 3 PM, with on-site presence required on Tuesday-Thursday during those times (work 8 hours a day).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
