**Job Summary**
As a Product Owner you will be responsible for overseeing the development of products from conception to completion, ensuring they align with client needs and preferences.
**Job Description**
We are seeking a **Product Owner** who will be responsible for supporting the product vision, managing backlog items, and deciding on product features based on client research. **This position is full-time, W2 contract that renews on a semi-annual basis, and on-site.**
**What You'll Do:**
+ Assist with the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet clients’ needs and preferences.
+ Support the overall vision of products and work on various backlog items.
+ Participate in decisions regarding product features based on client preferences.
+ Research and determine clients’ needs to decide which features to include.
+ Pitch ideas for product features to stakeholders.
+ Act as the primary contact between cross-functional teams, vendor development departments, and stakeholders.
+ Perform technical tasks such as installing vendor-provided software, uploading application content via GUI or DBU, and configuring OS settings.
+ Coordinate with Cyber Security to ensure adherence to protocols.
+ Work with product and project teams simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across disparate teams.
**What You'll Need**
Required:
+ 1-3 years of experience as a Product Owner
+ In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
+ Working knowledge of product development architecture (SDLC)
+ Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
+ Ability to prioritize effectively
+ Knowledge of user-centered design principles
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to work with technical and operational teams
+ Understanding of design quality standards
+ Strong presentation skills
+ Experience with client-server, web-based, cloud models
+ Knowledge of relational database concepts/principles
+ Basic understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, XML
+ Experience with mission-critical, 24x7 systems
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Desired:
+ Proven ability to collaborate and achieve actionable results in a team
+ Ability to build strong, sustainable relationships and interact with engineers from all departments
+ Strategic thinking and ability to drive ideas into action with a positive outlook and personal initiative
+ Certification in Scrum & Agile Software Development Methodology
+ Internship in a similar role in a medium-sized organization
**Physical Demands:**
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
