Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Product Owner - Commercial Analytics. ​The Product Owner - Commercial Analytics will lead the development of data-driven digital finance products using design thinking methodologies. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, legal, HR, engineering, marketing, and IT, to ensure the successful development and launch of data products. The focus will be on driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our digital finance and innovation product portfolio. The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** Vision and Strategy: • Develop and communicate a clear vision and roadmap for commercial analytics data products, aligning with overall business objectives. • Identify key business challenges and opportunities where data can provide solutions, particularly in areas of commercial KPIs such as sales orders, backlogs, and profitability Sales, Orders, Backlogs and Profitability Analysis: • Monitor and analyze sales, order and backlog data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. • Develop and maintain profitability data products to provide insights into product performance, cost management, and revenue optimization. • Use advanced analytics and modeling techniques to forecast profitability and support strategic decision-making Performance Metrics and Reporting: • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales orders, backlogs, and profitability. • Present regular dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting insights and actionable recommendations Data Product Management: • Oversee the development and maintenance of data products that provide insights into sales orders, backlogs, and profitability. • Ensure data products are accurate, secure, compliant, and accessible to authorized users Stakeholder Collaboration: • Work closely with stakeholders across various departments (e.g., sales, finance, operations) to gather requirements and ensure the data products meet their needs. • Foster collaboration between data scientists, engineers, analysts, and business users to ensure alignment and effective communication Continuous Improvement: • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and commercial operations. • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance data products and processes to drive business growth and efficiency **Qualifications:** Required (Basic) Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial finance, project manager, BRM or program lead with a focus on data-driven digital finance products using design thinking methodologies. • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Product Owner or equivalent position. • 10% travel required • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood OH or Moon Township, PA will be considered. Preferred qualifications: • Manufacturing experience preferred. Skills and Qualifications: • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights is crucial. This includes proficiency in tools like Power BI, Alteryx, and Cloudera, which are commonly used for data visualization and advanced analytics • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with various analytics tools and platforms for data analytics, data science, and business intelligence tools, and Jira for project management is important. Knowledge of cloud-based platforms like Azure and data science tools like Dataiku can also be beneficial. • Product Management: Strong product management skills are essential, including the ability to develop and lead product vision, strategy, and roadmap. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively with various departments such as supply chain, legal, HR, engineering, marketing, and IT. Engaging with business partners and customers to define product requirements and user stories is also a key part of the role • Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and solution designing activities, is important. Utilizing design thinking approaches for planning and alignment across teams is also beneficial • Financial Acumen: A deep understanding of commercial finance and analytics is crucial. This includes deep knowledge of commercial operations, sales processes, and financial analysis along with the ability to develop KPIs, dashboards, and analytics on commercial data, as well as providing financial insights to support commercial objectives. • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to address challenges that arise during product development and to continuously improve data products.
